Small Habits, Real Change
We tend to overestimate what a single big decision can do, and underestimate what a small daily habit can do over months. A dramatic resolution feels satisfying in the moment, but it's fragile — it depends on motivation, and motivation doesn't show up every day.
Habits work differently. They don't ask you to feel ready. They just ask you to repeat something small, consistently, until it stops requiring willpower at all.
If you're trying to change something in your life, start smaller than feels meaningful. Not because small doesn't matter, but because small is what you can actually sustain on the days you don't feel motivated — and those are the days that decide whether the change lasts.
